Each participant will be making their own way to The Netherlands, with international flights arriving into Amsterdam (schipol) airport.
One of the tour leaders will meet you and assist you to catch a train to Utrecht
The leader meeting you will be at the designated airport meeting point - link to meeting point below.
If you are arriving at a time that it is not practical to meet you, or at another location other than the main international airport, we will discuss making your own way to the hotel.
The best way to travel from Schiphol Airport to Utrecht is by train. There is a direct train connection between the airport and Utrecht Central Station. It only takes you 30-45 minutes to travel to Utrecht. The train station is part of Schiphol Plaza (the plaza is the central area accessed directly from all 4 arrival halls), just follow directions for 'trains' (station is located directly below the airport).
Train tickets are available from the yellow ticket machines near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza or from the ticket offices, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza. One can also use the OV-chipcard on the train.
  • One way trip will cost approximately 8 Euro.
There is a direct train to Utrecht every 15 minutes. Buy a one way ticket ('enkele reis') to Utrecht Central Station. When in doubt, you can always ask someone at the ticket office. You will soon notice that almost everyone in the Netherlands speaks English fairly well. For journey advice and time tables you can also check:
The Hotel is approximately 800m from the train station.
